Maria sits with eyes wide open in the pit lane at Silverstone staring at the bikes and amazing cars while Zoe ogles all the men in leather, Kelly is trying to get on one of the bikes!
Maria - I knew we should come here to do this review! The atmosphere is electric! Kelly get off the bike, they’re gonna kick us out!
Kelly - You spoil all my fun!! I'm off okay!
Zoe - Lets stop pretending its the bikes you’ve come here to ride Kel
Maria - Well I always love Kirsty Moseley’s books but I was riveted with this one, I couldn’t put it down. I don’t think there were any negatives for me at all.
Kelly - For me Kirsty can do no wrong, she is simply the best! Although there were times I could have walloped Carson, bloody idiot!
Zoë - I’m not gonna lie this book scared me, having been a massive Kirsty fan for a while I was so worried this would be the one I wouldnt connect with- how wrong was I?!
Kelly: I think that's always a big worry with an author whose work you love so much, will this be the book that doesn't do it for me? I'm also glad to report Poles Apart wasn't the one! - did I ever tell you that I took pole dancing lessons?
Maria - Ha ha, this does not surprise me Kelly! I absolutely loved Emma, I was on her side all along, I agree with you Kelly, I wanted to throat punch Carson at times, but I couldn’t help but love him too. I couldn’t wait for more journey’s to the back room too, those snippets were hot! and sometimes very very sweet.
Zoë - I agree there were times I wanted to off him but I also felt that way about Emma too, I wanted to bang both of their heads together!
Kelly - My heart broke for Emma, that girl had the weight of the world on her shoulders yet she managed it all with a smile on her face. So young and so selfless to a fault!
Maria - Kirsty Moseley know’s how to write awesome characters. Although I loved the main characters, I also loved the supporting roles. Rory was fantastic, the fierceness with which he loved his sister and niece was beautiful and I would love to read his story one day.
Zoë - Yep I agree, also Emma's best friend Lucie, she was cool. I'll tell you one person I didn't like, Carson's mum what a witch I wanted to rip her out of the book although she did shove a rocket up Carson's arse so I'll forgive her a little.
Kelly - I wanted more from Rory, again so young yet with morals and not scared to stand up to Carson - would love a Rory book!
Zoë - You know the thing I loved the most was the simplicity of the story, no massive unrealistic plot twists just a straightforward and at times heart wrenching love story.
Maria - Yeah, it was nice to not have someone taken hostage or part of a biker club (sorry Maz). Not that I have a problem with those types of books. Not at all. I love me some biker and hot alpha who saves the day. It was just nice to have a change of pace, have something that was more relatable. Ok, lets be honest, none of us are going to be jumping into Jenson Button’s pants anytime soon, but it was as relatable as fiction gets. I for one love that, it makes me feel closer to the characters.
Kelly : I'm into Daniel Riccardo - so hot!
Zoë - Aaah Jenson Buttons pants, if only!! *Swoon*' the characters were definitely relatable! Just another reason to fall in love with the story on the other hand it leaves me craving more! Although the story wraps up nicely, the fact that the characters feel like old friends means I want to know how the rest of their lives pan out. I would also love to know what Carson was thinking whilst Emma was away from work for months. How amazing would Carson's POV be encompassing the time before Emma, whilst she was away and also showing a year or two after their story finished in Poles Apart.
Kelly - It's pretty obvious from the go that Carson loves Emma but I also found myself needing to hear Carsons take on events.
Maria - Honestly anything extra would be a bonus as I loved this story. I’m hoping that this becomes a series as once I picked this book up I really couldn’t put it down. I laughed, cried, got angry and protective all in the space of about 6 hours. I was tired and emotional at the end and it took me 2 days to pick up another book, but it was worth it!
Maria - 5 fat stars from me!
Zoe - Yep, all you said x2! I stayed up until 2.20am and like you devoured it all in one go, was I exhausted? Yes. Was I emotional? Yes. Would I do it all again? Hell yes!! It's 'the Carson effect' once you enter his world you don't want to leave. So without a doubt Poles Apart is a podium topper for me 5 massive, Moseley stars!
Kelly - The woman is pure genius 5 stars from me!!!
