Wild Addiction is the - *sniff* - concluding part to the story of Tyler and Liv.
To say that there is a floodgate of emotion awaiting you is an understatement. After the ending to Wild Temptation I couldn't wait to dive in to the continuation of their story of life, love and addiction.
There is nothing I can give away without spoiling the story for you all but please prepare yourself. This is the fight of their lives and it goes so much bigger than you thought.
Liv's internal struggle between her addiction for Tyler and love for him continues with Tyler's diversion tactics working to a degree. You may feel annoyed at her indecision and flighty qualities but the insight you're given into how Liv is feeling and thinking give you a sense of understanding of her actions. Her sass very much remains and the couple's banter and back-and-forth with one another continues. Tyler's cheeky chappy self doesn't change one bit but my God do I fall in love with him all over again and it's so much deeper than before. What a dirty British boy he is!
Emma has promised all along that she will break your heart then mend it again with the second book to the Wild series. How true these words are. Just thinking about it now has my eyes welling and my heart swelling simultaneously with the memories of my feelings as I was reading.
"...you're mine to love, mine to protect, and mine to look after."
"I'll be your hero, baby girl. I'll be your hero so damn well, Superman will be jealous of me."
Emma sure knows how to pack in the swoon and she certainly knows how to write heartbreaking scenes and my goodness if I wasn't reading the book with damp cheeks for the majority of the last half.
If there was a 5+ stars rating available then I would give it to this book. Tyler Stone has wormed his way firmly into my top ten book boyfriends and it'll take one hell of a bloke to knock him down.
