4 sweet stars.
This was an easy read. It was sweet and contained everything you require for a ‘quick fling’ book boyfriend. We saw small glimpses of Silas in All Lined Up. There were tell tale signs that he is really a good guy underneath the ‘bad boy’ persona. I loved my fling with him. It was a very easy read, I didn’t struggle to pick up the book, and found myself thinking about the book when I wasn’t reading. The writing style flowed very well and I liked the characters. The storyline started out strong but I felt it lacked a little at the end but only because I think there was so much more of the story that needed finishing. However, before I start moaning, I am aware that this is a series and so we could quite easily have a novella at some point, equally we could see these characters in the next books.
Dylan I liked much more than I thought I would. The impression I got from the blurb was that she was a ‘do gooder’ and although she certainly had those qualities, the book wasn’t focussed on that element as much as I was worried it would be. Again Cora Carmack’s writing style plays a big part in making sure you understand the characters without drowning in the irrelevant.
Silas was a lovely character, exactly what you expect from a bad boy when they fall in love.
The supporting characters were again written well and they have openings ready for their stories to be told.
I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
