Master… Being that person, that man is how I define myself, how I allow the rest of the world to define me as well. And now, with a terrible loss shredding me inside out and someone trying to destroy my family to punish me, control is more important than ever. It is everything. It is what I need. It is all I need. Or maybe I just need…her. |
REVIEW
I am going to start by saying I have followed this entire series and Loved every single book!
I Belong To You is Mark and Crystals story.
Mark (Mr Compton) has all on, moving indefinitely back to New York to support his mother, who is going through cancer treatments and taking care of the family business.
Mark soon realises on top of everything else he has to deal with that the chemistry between Crystal and himself cannot be ignored and finds himself drawn to her, needing her.
We see Mark work through his emotions and past demons, wanting to prove he deserves Crystals trust as opposed to masterfully demanding it like he’s used to doing. We see a different side to Mark than what we have previously heard in Rebecca's journals and you cannot help but fall for him in a big way! He displays the perfect balance of naughty and nice ;)
Crystal is a strong independent business woman on a mission to impress her Dad and Brothers and prove she can make something of herself. When Mr Compton comes along and shows her she needs him there are some tremulous times between the pair. I enjoyed the overall strength to Crystal's character and at times loved how she stepped up and kicked ass!
The whole Ava being on the loose and figuring out the plot as such behind that side of the story could have been more dramatic - I feel this was more like a fizzle and a pop instead of the explosive firework display of a conclusion that you are expecting. Although it was fun reading the build up to the conclusion with each piece of the puzzle unfolded. I did find that a little disappointing but not enough to put me off the book.
I will definitely continue to follow the series and did enjoy this read.
I award 3.5 - 4 stars.
